Electrical Code Training

Based in Prince George, B.C., Northern Code offers the 8-hour FSR Renewal Course as well as the 48-hour A, B, and C Field Safety Representative (FSR) Certification Course.

Obtain your Technical Safety BC-recognized training credential during your time off. These weekend courses allow you to continue working while advancing your career or becoming your own electrical contractor.

Upon successful completion of the course, you may apply to Technical Safety BC to renew your current FSR certification or to write the provincial FSR examination for A, B, or C Field Safety Representative (FSR) certification. Red Seal electricians may also use this training to qualify for the Master Electrician (FSR) certification.

We also offer on-site electrical code training for both the 8-hour FSR Renewal Course and the 48-hour FSR Certification Course. On-site training can be scheduled on weekdays or weekends to meet your organization's needs. The 48-hour certification course can also be delivered over multiple weeks, providing greater flexibility for employers and participants.

SCHEDULED COURSES FOR 2026 

A, B, C 48 hour FSR certification in class course weekends November 21, 22, 28, 29 and December 5, 6 in Prince George.

8-Hour FSR code renewal course in class Saturday October 24th, 2026 in Prince George.
